About

Life is full of interesting things, and it’s kind of sad when I experience them, and then forget them. That’s why this blog exists. It is a collection of ideas, things, events, and people I encounter in my life, so if I ever forget something interesting I’ve seen before, I can read it again, and relive the moment. And hey, if you stumbled upon this place and something peaked your interest, you’re welcome to stay and share your thoughts!

My name is Ivana (and daddy calls me Gold… wait wrong language for those lyrics). I was born in Yugoslavia, in 1980s but after years of economic sanctions, civil wars, and finally NATO bombing, my family finally decided enough is enough and came to US of A in 1999. I finished high school, then college, and then found a job, all in the state with pretty forests and lots of noisy birds known as Virginia. My current HQ is in Virginia Beach, VA, where humidity competes with high temperature in making it hard to stay outside in summer, but where wind makes spending time on the beach almost enjoyable. I’m a full time programmer, and part time anything else. My interests include anything from knitting, to working on cars, to fixing broken hardware, to caring for guinea pigs, etc. If it’s something I haven’t tried yet, it will probably be one of my interests some time in the future. I’m learning all the time, getting new skills and exposing myself to new experiences.

So hold on, this is going to be a wild ride!
